theoldmortuary website and blog is a little over a month old. This was the first person to want to follow us but he has only just got here. Follow us to see all the cool stuff that thrills a snail and a few other people who love the stuff we love.

Today the Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships are being held. Stanley is a very beautiful bay in Hong Kong. We visit there often as Hannah ( the coffee addict) was born near there and both her parents ashes have been scattered on a hilltop overlooking the harbour. We have family members who paddle in the Stormy Dragons team so we have a partisan interest in the results.

We wanted to preserve the memory of the old undertakers building that we redeveloped last year. As luck would have it London Signs had their workshop not far from our flat in Gipsy Hill. We commissioned this neon sign from them . Visiting the workshop was a great experience as many of the signs they make are iconic all over Britain. It’s lovely to see craftsman created signs that are not digitally designed.
Last night I set Letterpress for a poster, I’ve had such a great time at the Letterpress Short Course at PCAD. I went hoping to learn a technique to add text into my abstract painting but I’ve learnt to love text printing in its own right.
Our Real Interior Design page is just being constructed, this old picture frame gets a mention early on.
